As a family photographer in Viborg, I am Anja Asmussen and my clear focus is to create honest, warm family photographs that last for generations. Trained as a professional photographer in 1994 and with many years at my studio on Munkevej, I specialise in maternity, newborn, monthly milestone and children’s photography. My approach is personal and patient — especially when the smallest family members are involved. I prioritise a relaxed atmosphere where families feel secure. In my studio you’ll find a calm, comfortable space, and I’m also happy to come on location if that better suits your story. For monthly photo sessions we review the images immediately and you choose your favourites on the spot — a great way to capture your child’s development over time. For newborn photography I work gently and respectfully, prioritising calm, comfort and safety so you get the fleeting moments before they pass. My photographic style focuses on capturing natural moments rather than rigid poses. I guide gently and create situations where smiles, eye contact and small spontaneous movements can emerge. This means that even camera-shy children often relax and reveal their personalities in front of the lens. I edit images with an emphasis on timelessness and authenticity, so you receive family photos you can confidently hang on the wall or pass on as cherished memories. In addition to family photography, I also offer portrait photography and coverage for special events such as confirmations, but my primary expertise lies in family life: pregnancy, newborns, a baby’s first year and children’s portraits.
