My name is Pernille, and as a family photographer based in Frederiksberg I focus on the genuine, the close and the imperfect. My approach is documentary — I work like a fly on the wall, observing and capturing the small moments, the laughter and the quiet looks that often disappear in the rush of everyday life. Those are the moments that, to me, make family photos timeless and meaningful. Why choose me as your family photographer? Because I prioritise safety and presence. As a mother and with experience working on the maternity ward at Hvidovre Hospital, I understand the unpredictability of family life and how to create calm in a photo situation — especially when there are little children or newborns involved. I work quietly, respectfully and with great patience so both children and adults feel secure and free to be themselves in front of the camera. My style is built on natural light, unstaged compositions and honest moments. Whether you want family photography at home in the comfort of your own surroundings, a playful session at a location around Copenhagen, photos from daycare or documentation of your child’s christening, I adapt to your wishes. Newborn photography often takes place in the postpartum bubble at home, where I capture the delicate details: lanugo hair, tiny hands and breastfeeding moments — always with respect for both baby and parents. How does a session work? We’ll first have a short conversation about your wishes so I know the mood you want to preserve. During the shoot I remain discreet, only stepping in when necessary and letting your natural interactions guide the images. Afterwards you’ll receive access to an online gallery with selected, edited images so you can choose the memories you want to keep.
