I am Katja, a specialist family photographer in Farum. I create natural, timeless family photos that highlight interaction and presence. I work calmly so children and adults feel at ease.
My name is Katja Thrane Hansson and I run Marylou Studio from Farum. As a specialist family photographer my simple aim is to capture the honest moments between you — the little looks, the laughter and the quiet presence that make each family unique. My style is light, timeless and understated; I aim for images that will still feel right for years to come. Why choose me? Because I work in a personal and calm way. I create a safe atmosphere where children have time to get used to me and the camera, and where adults can relax and be themselves. That results in natural photographs rather than stiff poses. I combine studio sessions with outdoor shoots when it suits you — both settings have their own magic: the studio offers calm and simple light, while the outdoors brings movement and soft, natural light. My working process is straightforward and respectful: first we talk about your wishes, the mood you want and what you'd like included. During the session I focus on play, interaction and the moments that arise between you — I guide gently but keep the family at the centre. Afterwards I edit each image individually so every photo looks its best, and you receive access to your own online gallery where you can pick favourites and order prints or collages. I love creating family photos that can hang in your home and be kept in photo albums — from spontaneous portraits of children to calm family portraits across generations. In addition to family photography I also offer related sessions such as maternity, newborn and baby photography, as well as special celebrations like Cake Smash for a first birthday. Wedding and portrait photography are also part of my work, but my core focus is family life.
